P!nk //Glitter in the Air// Friday Covers

This isn't a cover, I know. 
But if you haven't ever seen P!nk's 2010 Grammy performance of "Glitter in the Air", you will want to see this. 
It's beautiful and makes you wonder why she doesn't go back to singing this way on more of her albums. 
And note... the fabric aerials. 
That's gutsy. And she still had the energy and pipes to sing that song flawlessly.

Baby Boom!

The baby boom hits, and it hits hard!
The air (by air, I mean Facebook) is flooded by birth announcements, surprise birth announcements, surprise gender reveals, surprise number of babies, everything is on a fast spiral of notifications as well as invitations to baby showers and newborn photos. At one time, these were some of the most cherished moments you could think of, alongside weddings, and first steps. Now I feel as if Facbook has encouraged this type of imposition when it comes to special moments.
My news feed daily looks a lot like this: baby, marriage, engagement, baby, baby, baby, it's a boy, it's twins, baby, engagement, ring, ring, ring, wedding, wedding, engagement, baby update, baby sleep, baby, walking, teething, baby, birthday, wedding, engagement, babyyyyyyyyyyy.....

My Fancies

There are countless things in the single life that I love and I call them my fancies. Actually I dubbed that as of a few moments ago. But we'll pretend as if I had that as my copyright.

I appreciate the fact that right now in my life I can pick up and go anywhere. With the exception of work responsibilities, and financial responsibilities, I can practically go where I want to.

Although I'm sure that if even in a few years I'm married, I will always like the fact that I can re-watch any of my favorite movies over and over and never get sick of it. Ie: Pride and Prejudice (A&E version, let's keep it straight!) Anne of Green Gables (on VHS), Heavyweights, Mighty Ducks (all of them), Home Alone (all of them) and a slew of other kid friendly movies and always feel like a part of my childhood will always be in those time capsules of movies I grew up on.
